Description

The JNWC is a rapidly-growing military organization on Kirkland AFB located in Albuquerque, NM. The JNWC Project Analyst – Intermediate supports the Joint Navwar (Navigation Warfare) Operations Center (JNOC), a communication and contact center designed to interface with global warfighters who require responses or information products during planned or current operations. The JNWC supports a variety of Government agencies, but is primarily focused on the Department of Defense (DoD). This position is part of the Navwar Support to Warfighters Division comprised of Government and Contractor staff members

Availability to work a schedule which may include varying shifts, weekends and/or holidays

 

Travel

Support for travel up to 5%

Position Responsibilities

  • Staff and operate the JNOC, an interface to world-wide warfighters providing support for Navwar and position, navigation, and time (PNT) issues.
    • Operate 24/7/365 help desk support to the warfighter and the PNT community of interest
    • Establish and maintain interfaces with operations centers across the globe - CONUS and OCONUS
    • Record activities that occur during the shift; log responsive actions or staff follow-on taskings
  • Use GIANT for GPS modeling, anomaly resolution, and warfighter analysis support
    • Create and maintain a catalog of models for each area of interest
    • Monitor world-wide networks to collect PNT data that can inform and update GIANT models
    • Create and maintain PNT products that can be used to respond quickly to information requests
    • Conduct after action analysis to inform GIANT developers of anomalous behaviors or improvement opportunities
  • Prepare JNOC to respond quickly to warfighter urgent needs
    • Respond to urgent needs by collecting data to quickly create models that simulate the operational environment
    • Create and maintain a catalog of PNT GIANT models used to respond quickly to information requests
    • Refine JNWC website to enhance user interface and facilitate data collection and information product posting
  • Follow up with additional data requests or more refined models; perform differences analysis to inform the warfighter of changes in the AOR
  • Interface with stakeholders for PNT/GPS issues. Support collaborative efforts to remedy GPS issues

Minimum Security Clearance

Current active DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance

 

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly using oral or written media
  • Understanding of military systems and the capabilities they provide
  • Skilled use of information production and reporting tools; modeling tools preferred
  • Understanding of military security and OPSSEC responsibilities and requirements
  • Understanding of military exercises and the level of operational fidelity that they intend to simulate
  • Experience operating or supporting Government systems that require PNT awareness

Additional Desired Qualifications, Skills, Certifications

  • Experience writing military contact plans and recording military activity logs
  • Familiar with GIANT for software modeling
  • Experience overseas areas of operation supporting CENTCOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, INDOPACOM
  • Website design
  • Operations or Intelligence experience

Education and Training Required

High School Graduate or higher

 

Minimum Years of Experience

3+ Years in DoD operations centers interfacing with other global operations centers
