We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team to assist with the development and migration of cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems, as well as experience designing and migrating applications to the cloud. You should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share your knowledge. The applicant will also be tasked to interact with other personnel from the Software Development Team, as well as Software Test, and Cybersecurity Team members.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO (with some flexibility to work remotely)
Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect
Salary: Commensurate with industry position, depending on experience
Shift: M-F, Days
Travel: Support for travel up to 5%

Position Responsibilities

• Create a well-informed cloud strategy
• Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
• Develop and organize cloud systems.
• Work closely with the development team to monitor the applications’ security posture
• Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
• Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company and potential customers.
• Interface with development teams and infrastructure teams to drive issue resolution.

Minimum Security Clearance

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Design of end-to-end architecture and design of applications and infrastructure and models for large applications to ensure they are cloud ready and cloud native
• 3+ years of hands on experience working with Cloud technologies, services and cloud migration in AWS or Azure
• Experience with Containerized Technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.

Additional Desired Qualifications, Skills, Certifications

• Proven ability to assess and recommend architectures, technologies and vendors, with an understanding of multiple options for architectures
• Experienced and technically proficient with: Python, Ansible, Terraform, Java/C#/Node Js
• Experience with SQL and No-SQL Databases
• Strong oral, written communication skills

Education and Training Required

• Bachelor's degree (in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field) or Higher
