We are looking for a Cloud Full Stack Developer to join our team to assist with the architecture and development of cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems, as well as experience designing, developing and migrating applications to the cloud. You should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share your knowledge. The applicant will also be tasked to interact with other personnel from the Software Development Team, as well as Software Test, and Cybersecurity Team members.

Overview

Location:  Colorado Springs, CO (with some flexibility to work remotely)
Job Title:  Cloud Full Stack Developer
Salary:  Commensurate with industry position, depending on experience
Shift:  M-F, Days
Travel:  Support for travel up to 5%

Position Responsibilities 

• Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
• Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company and potential customers.
• Contribute to the design, development and on time delivery of applications, components and/or systems
• Participate in design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
• Implement application enhancements and architectural improvements for existing products
• Create technical documents as required
• Follow and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
• Document test procedures to ensure repeatability and compliance with standards
• Document software defects using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software lead
• Maintain source code in a version control system
• Understand and follow secure coding standards
• Work productively with other team members on small to large scale projects

Minimum Security Clearance

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Design of end-to-end architecture and design of applications and infrastructure and models for large applications to ensure they are cloud ready and cloud native
• 3+ years of hands on experience working with Cloud technologies, services and cloud migration in AWS or Azure
• Experience with Containerized Technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience with some or all of the following: Java, C#, AngularJS, TypeScript, React, MySQL/MariaDB
• Experience with Elasticsearch or Splunk
• Experience implementing Message Queues, RabbitMQ preferred
• Experience with developing microservices
• Familiar with web protocols, developing APIs, scaling web applications.
• Good judgment in UX/UI design. Understands the finer points of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - know which tools to use when and why.
• Proficiency in structuring a database, website, and rich client-side application from scratch.
• Demonstrated usage of different testing patterns, continuous integration processes, build deployment systems and continuous monitoring.
• Experience with Agile Development and Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.

Additional Desired Qualifications, Skills and Certifications

• Proven ability to assess and recommend architectures, technologies and vendors, with an understanding of multiple options for architectures
• Strong oral, written communication skills

• Bachelor's degree (in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field) or Higher
